AND MISSION

OUR MISSION
Aim for the higher gifts with joyfulness and kindness
St Philip’s is first and foremost a Catholic school shaped by the joyful spirituality of St Philip Neri. Prayer and liturgy are the central to our community life, forming our boys in faith, character, and virtue. Through worship, sacramental preparation, and a deep sense of belonging, pupils learn to recognise Christ at work in their school, in their families, and in the wider world.
Our mission and patron

Our mission statement — Aim for the higher gifts with joyfulness and kindness — expresses both our aspirations for every child and the spirit of St Philip Neri, Patron Saint of joy and laughter. St Philip invites us to take the Gospel seriously without taking ourselves too seriously, to pursue holiness through friendship, humour, and service.

St Philip’s crest carries three stars which symbolise the theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity. These virtues are rooted in the mission of the School and the example of our patron St Philip; they are the higher gifts to which we point the pupils.
