CHARITABLE GIVING

Fundraising and charitable giving
Raising funds for the school as well as charities - local and international - is an important part of the PA's role. Through the work and benevolence of the PA, for example, we have recently contributed to the re-surfacing of the professional-grade tartan athletics track at the Barn Elms Sports Trust to the benefit of our boys and the local community that uses it. We have also been able to support  the paediatric ward at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

The two charities supported on a regular basis by PA-led initiatives are the Carney's Community Centre and Stella Maris.

Carney's is a Battersea-based charity that supports young people who have: had difficult childhood experiences; face poverty; are in the care system; have been impacted by gun and knife crime; have been excluded from school; or are involved in the criminal justice system.

Stella Maris is a maritime charity that provides pastoral and chaplaincy services to mariners who find themselves at sea for extended periods of time. â€‹

We are very grateful for the dynamism and spirit of the parents, which underpins the wonderful generosity that drives the PA and enables it to enrich the life of our school, support our chosen charities, and re-enforce to our boys the values of faith, hope, and chairty.

Second-hand uniform

The PA runs a second-hand uniform service, organised by parent volunteers. This is a helpful way for families to access uniform items at a reduced cost while supporting the school community.

Uniform can usually be purchased at one designated morning per term an during large set-piece school events.

A small charge applies, with proceeds supporting PA initiatives such as the charitable giving set out here.
